Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Costa Rica Upon arrival to SJO International Airport you will be met by our tour guide. You will then be transported to La Paz Gardens where you will check in at the La Paz Lodge. Afternoon and/or evening s at your leisure to enjoy the facilities of the Hotel and look around the Gardens attractions. Lunch and/or Dinner is on your own.
Day 2 - LA PAZ GARDENS ( B ) After Breakfast, a guided tour will take you to magnificent Poas Volcano with its mile wide caldera and the crystal blue sulfur pool. Next stop is the famous 112-year-old Doka Coffee Farm where you will see and learn how coffee is planted, harvested, milled, dried and roasted. In the evening a private tour will show you the hiking trails of La Paz Gardens. This will be your ultimate Costa Rican experience for viewing exotic flowers, butterflies, orchids, hummingbirds, the rainforest, and waterfalls. After this tour you will have leisure time to enjoy the hotel's facilities or take a massage in the Spa. Lunch and Dinner is on your own.
Day 3 - LA PAZ GARDENS ( B, L ) After Breakfast, you will be taken on a Boat Safari on Sarapiqui River. This Class I-II Rapids Rafting Trip is intended for all-ages and gives you the chance to watch a wide variety of flora and fauna including monkeys, birds, iguanas and crocodiles, with lunch and snacks included. When you return to La Paz Gardens, you will have leisure time to enjoy the facilities of the Hotel and Gardens. Dinner is on your own.
Day 4 - LA PAZ GARDENS ( B, L ) After Breakfast, you will take a guided Canopy Tour, beginning with a 45-minute scenic drive from the Peace Lodge. You will then enjoy a 2 hour and 2 kilometers long Canopy Tour of the Cloud Forest. Its many attractions include 12 natural trails making this tour an exciting outdoor adventure. You will also take a boat ride on the lagoon and enjoy a delicious trout lunch. Once returned to La Paz Gardens, you will have free time to enjoy the Hotel's Facilities and the Gardens attractions. Dinner is on your own.
Day 5 - LA PAZ GARDENS ( B, D ) After Breakfast, the morning is at your leisure to enjoy the Hotel's Facilities, or you can take a tour of the Gardens or maybe take a massage or treatment in the Spa. In the afternoon, a guided tour will take you to La Fortuna, to see the world famous Arenal Volcano, an active Costa Rica Volcano. After a scenic two-hour drive, you will plunge into Tabacon's hot springs and relax for a couple hours. Later, enjoy a buffet dinner and then in the darkness of night watch the fireworks from the glowing lava. Spend some more time in the springs if you wish and then you will be returned to the Peace Lodge, where will be arriving around 10:00 p.m.
Day 6 ( B ) After breakfast, you will be transported by land to the San Jose International Airport to take your return flight home.
