Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - WELCOME TO COSTA RICA  Upon your arrival in San Jose International Airport, you will be met by our tour guide. You will be transported to the Best Western Irazu Hotel and Casino where you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy the Hotel facilities. Dinner is on your own. A guided tour for exploring the rich night life of San Jose City, is available if you wish. Day 2 - TRAVELING TO ISLA DEL COCO ( B, L, D ) After Breakfast, you will be transported by land to the city of Puntarenas where you will be transported to the Island aboard the Yachts ARGO, SEA HUNTER, or UNDERSEA HUNTER, leaving from local Harbor. During the 36 hour trip, you will have free time on the yacht to meet other travelers and enjoy the views,  watch dolphins, whales, and sea turtles or just take time to rest and relaxing.
Day 3 - Day 10 ISLA DEL COCO ( B, L, D ) After Breakfast, the first dive will be at 7:45 a.m. The second dive at 10:45 a.m. and the third dive at 2:00 p.m. The Fourth Dive is subject to the preferences of the majority of the group. It may be before or after the Dinner. Your group will also visit the Island for some tours of the forest, to visit the waterfalls, and you may bath in the pristine waters, or sun tan on the white sand beaches of Island. Both diving sessions and visits to the Island are subject to weather and tidal conditions.
Day 11 - DEPARTURE FROM ISLA DEL COCO ( B, L, D ) You will be transported back to the city of Puntarenas. During the trip you will be at leisure to visit and share experiences with the other divers, as well as to enjoy the views.
Day 12 - RETURN HOME ( B ) You will arrive in the city of Puntarenas, at approximately 12 noon. And then you will be transported to the San Jose International Airport for your return flight ( This is a Two and half hour ride )
WHAT'S INCLUDED: 1 night at the Best Western Irazu Hotel and Casino, plus accommodations aboard the yacht, 4 guided diving sessions per day, with at least one Dive Master per dive. Compressed air tanks, unlimited Nitrox fills, weights and weight belts, Airport Pick Up, Hotel transfers on the day of the charter, all meals, snacks, non alcoholic beverages, local beer and wine, and all the Hotel and Tourism taxes. NOT INCLUDED: International air fare to/from Costa Rica, Costa Rica departure taxes ($26 per person), entrance fees to the Park ($35 per person for every day of diving), meals and drinks not specified in the itinerary, and gratuities or extra costs associated with changes in your itinerary for reasons beyond our control. Price of Package by 2012: $5,535 per person 11 Days charter with 7 days of diving aboard the Argo $4,905 per person 11 Days charter with 7 days of diving aboard the Sea Hunter

Notes to consider:
* Rates are based on Double Occupancy both at the Best Western Hotel and aboard the Vessel
* Cocos Island Entrance Fees are $35 for every day of Diving ( Payment must be made in Cash and pay directly to the tour Guide ) Non Divers pay $25 daily.
* Diver must fill out a " Fleet Application & Liability Waiver " form. This form must be received by our Agency at least 30 days prior to the Starting Date of Trip. Request this form from our Reservations Office.
* We recommend you travel covered with a trip insurance. That´s because in case you have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen reasons such as weather conditions or personal illness. In case the trip has to be canceled due to an unforeseen reason within our control, the full payment for the Cocos trip will be refunded ( less a 10% charge for Agency´s administrative fees ). * MERCY TRAVEL and UNDERSEA HUNTER GROUP reserve the right to charge $200 extra for Fuel Surcharge. This fee will be effective in the event that price for Diesel which is fixed for the Costa Rican Oils Regulator Authority, reaches the price of $3.80 per gallon or $1 per liter. We will verify the Diesel´s Chart of Prices published for this institution, 75 days prior to the departure day of tour. And if is necessary to collect the fuel surcharge then we will inform to the participants of the trip at booking time.
