San Jose City, LaFortuna, Arenal Volcano, Sarapiqui River, Poas Volcano, LaPaz Gardens, Irazu, and Turrialba Volcanos are some of the destinations on your trip. You will be transported by van between destinations and all biking equipment is provided for those portions of the trip that are by bicycle.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day One: Our representative will meet you at the airport as you step off your plane. You will be transported by Van to Arenal Paraiso Resort located in La Fortuna. After Checking in, you'll have the rest of day at leisure to enjoy the amenities of the Hotel which include exotic gardens, the Hot Springs complex, and the canopy tour.
Lunch and Dinner are on your own. Arenal Paraiso Hotel offers 89 bungalows. The deluxe room has two double beds, a private bathroom, hot water, refrigerator, air conditioner and a large balcony. Also provided are telephone, Cable TV, and a great view of the Arenal Volcano. Other Hotel facilities are Restaurants, Hiking Trails, a beautiful Waterfall, 3 swimming pools ( 2 with thermal water, and 1 regular water), a wet bar, a fully equipped Spa, and a Conference room.
Day Two: (B) After breakfast, you ll enjoy of an exciting 4 hours moderate level Biking ride near the base of Arenal Volcano and along Lake Arenal with a naturalist guide in your party. After this tour, you will have free time on your own to explore the property and make use of the Hotel facilities. Lunch and Dinner are on your own.
Day Three: (B) After breakfast, you will have free time to soak leisurely in the Hot Springs, hike some of the trails, enjoy one of the swimming pools, or just relax in your room. At noon, you will be transported to San Jose City in a Deluxe Van, with a stop for lunch on the way. Around 5 p.m, you'll be arriving to Best Western Irazu Hotel & Casino in Downtown SJO. After checking in, you will have some free time to enjoy the pool or other Hotel amenities. Lunch and Dinner is on your own.
Best Western Irazu offers 311 Rooms with A/C, coffee maker, phone with voice mail, alarm clock, Cable TV, Hot Water in the bath, Hair Dryer, Safety Box and 24 hour Room Service.. It also provides free local phone calls, 24 hour free internet access, free use of the Hotel`s Gym, Jacuzzi, 2 tennis courts, and pool. You can enjoy the International Restaurant and the open air bar.
Day Four: (B) (L) After Breakfast, we will leave for the town of Sarapiqui which is located on th North Atlantic area of Costa Rica, where you will enjoy an incredible day of adventure. Enjoy the flavor of the country passing cattle farms and pineapple plantations. You will bike for around 20 Kms on a good dirt road that is mostly flat, then descends to the white water rafts of Sarapiqui River. There you will start your Rafting Tour on Class III Rapids of Sarapiqui River in an exciting but very safe 1 1/2 hour ride. An outdoor lunch is included. By 6:30 pm you will be back at Hotel Irazu, with free time to use the Hotel's pool, gym or other facilities. Dinner is on your own.
Day Five: (B) (L) After Breakfast, you will vist Doka Estate, considered to be one of the best coffee plantation in the world. Here, you will learn about the history and the industrialization process of one of the best gourmet coffees in the world. At Doka, you will enjoy of a delicious breakfast then you'll visit the Poas Volcano National Park, with its impressive crater, which is the largest in the world.
Later, you will visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens where a guided tour will introduce you to the different attractions in the property. These attractions include the Butterfly Farm, the Humming Birds Garden, and its 5 Heart-Stopping Waterfalls. At the end of tour, a buffet lunch is provided in the La Paz Garden's Restaurant. You will be back at Best Western Irazu at 7 pm, with the rest of day at leisure. Dinner is on your own.
Day 6: (B) (L) After Breakfast, you will be transported to the town of Santa Cruz in Turrialba, located in the Cartago Province. We will be passing close to the Irazu Volcano, with an optional visit to the National Park. At 3,432 meters above sea level, you will start the route heading towards the Turrialba Volcano with spectacular views of the mountains that surrounds the area. During the trip, you will be pass coffee plantations and vegetable farms. The biking trip will end at the town of "Puente de la Alegria", where you will enjoy of a delicious typical Lunch. This ride has a length of 42 Kms and takes 8 hours. At approximately 7 pm, you'll be back at Best Western Irazu, with the rest of day at leisure. Dinner is on your own.
Day 7: (B) After breakfast, you ll be transported to the International Airport for your return flight.
What is included: Two nights of accommodation at Arenal Paraiso Hotel in a Superior Double Room with daily continental Breakfast. Canopy Tour and unlimited use of the Hot Springs Complex during your stay at Arenal Paraiso. Biking Tour in the area of La Fortuna. Four nights of accommodation at Hotel Best Western Irazu, in a Standard Double Room with daily continental Breakfast, plus a biking tour in the Sarapiqui River area with a Class III Rafting trip also included. A guided visit to Doka Estate, Poas Volcano and La Paz Gardens. A Biking Tour in the Irazu and Turrialba Volcanoes area. Full Biking equipment is included. Hotel Transfers In/Out, airport transfers on scheduled arrival/departures dates only, and all the hotel and tourism taxes.
What is not included: International Air fare, CR departure taxes ($ 26 per person), Airport Charge ($ 9 per person), meals and drinks not specified in the itinerary, meals designated as "on your own", gratuities or costs associated with changes in your itinerary for reasons beyond our control.
